Police helicopter joins ‘urgent’ search for missing bayside man

Queensland police have called in a helicopter and the State Emergency Service to help find a man missing in Brisbane’s bayside, as a second day of search efforts intensify.
Anthony Roper, 69, was last seen about 5pm on Friday, when an “urgent” public appeal was first made. Concerns are held for his welfare as a medical condition may have left him disoriented.

In a statement on Saturday afternoon, police said Mr Roper was last seen walking along Princess Street towards Fitzroy Street in Cleveland.
