Police find two-year-old girl dead in dam on Tara property, ending search

A two-year-old girl has been found dead in a dam hours after she went missing from a Males Drive property at Tara on the Western Downs.

Queensland police confirmed they found her body in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

A search had begun for the girl at around 3.30pm on Monday after the toddler, had not been seen for half an hour.

Police will now prepare a report for the coroner.
