Police find body after reports of person missing in Brisbane River

Water police and a swift-water rescue team have located the body of a person who went missing in the Brisbane River on Friday afternoon.
Emergency services arrived near the Gardens Point Boat Harbour after 2pm following reports that a person had entered the water and not reappeared, a Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said.
Emergency service swift-water boats were seen near the CBD jetty throughout the afternoon, with paramedics and a stretcher standing by on the Eagle Street Pier boardwalk behind the Stamford Plaza.
The deceased adult’s body was pulled from the water before 5pm. Police say there were no suspicious circumstances.
