Police are searching for a man who ambushed a taxi driver and passenger in Mount Hawthorn in the early hours of Saturday, July 18.
Police are searching for a man who ambushed a taxi driver and passenger in Mount Hawthorn in the early hours of Saturday, July 18.
A police spokesman said the taxi was driving along Scarborough Beach Road about 1am when the driver pulled over in a bus bay near Matlock Street.
“The passenger had opened the door and was paying for the ride when a vehicle parked behind the taxi,” he said.
“A man wearing a full face mask and armed with a knife approached the passenger and demanded cash.
