Police appeal for witnesses of crash on Buderim Avenue
Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash at Alexandra Headlands yesterday, December 22.
Around 1pm, a silver Mitsubishi Magna travelling northbound on the Sunshine Motorway took the Mooloolaba exit towards Buderim Avenue.
The vehicle stopped at a red traffic light, and when the lights changed the vehicle accelerated and hit another vehicle, collided with a road sign, jumped the medium strip and collided with another two vehicles before stopping.
The driver of the Magna, an 83-year-old Alexander Headlands man, remained at the scene and is assisting police.
Police are appealing for witnesses or dash cam footage from anyone who was in the area at the time.
