Renault boss Cyril Abiteboul admitted his teams car was not good enough as the the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya highlighted areas where improvement is needed.
Daniel Ricciardo and Esteban Ocon struggled once meaningful running began for the weekends Spanish Grand Prix, qualifying just 13th and 15th respectively.
Ricciardo managed to race his way up two places during Sundays 66 lap grand prix, with Ocon improving to 13th at the flag.
