PM’s gas plan ‘overkill’ for market – The Australian Financial Review
Gas and energy suppliers say threatened interventions will distort the market and demonstrates once more the need for a settled energy policy.
Mr Morrison announced on Tuesday plans for a so-called gas-led recovery which, he said, would unlock supply, boost transmission and lower the price. It would enable gas to supplant coal as the transition fuel until renewable energy was sufficiently reliable.
