The government is stepping up the case for withdrawing emergency financial supports at the end of March.

Senator Birmingham will make his comments in a speech to the Israeli Chamber of Commerce in Adelaide on Friday as part of a concerted build-up by the government to transition the economy away from the big-spending emergency measures that have been the hallmark of the past 12 months.
