Star Mornington mare lands her second Group 1 with scintillating performance at The Valley
Any doubts about Pippie’s status as one of the fastest horses in the land were erased in a tick over 58 seconds on Friday night when the star Mornington mare won the Group 1 Moir Stakes (1000m).
The Oakleigh Plate winner burst out of the barriers in the her trademark style and, without any urging from jockey Damian Lane, was able to comfortably lead her rivals around The Valley.
