Pioneering ABC camera operator Dorothy Hallam’s work to be preserved showcasing changing times

When Dorothy Hallam paid 150 pounds for a film camera 60 years ago, people thought she’d gone insane — but it didn’t take long for her to make her money back.

Between 1961 and 1983, Dorothy filmed 176 stories for ABC News and she is considered to be the first female camera operator to shoot film for the organisation.
