Jockey makes exception to come up trumps in draw for Saturday’s All-Star Mile
William Pike admits he would usually avoid drawing barriers for his mounts but made an exception on Tuesday afternoon and delivered in spaces, coming up with barrier five for All-Star Mile favourite Arcadia Queen.
Coincidently, barrier five was the gate the Grant and Alana Williams-trained mare utilised in the spring to claim both the Caulfield and Mackinnon Stakes.
