Pies skipper reveals captaincy handover plans — and the players who could replace him

Scott Pendlebury has suggested he will soon relinquish the Magpies captaincy as he plans to enter the final stages of his career without the burden of an official leadership role.
The 33-year-old has surpassed Nathan Buckley as Collingwoods longest-serving captain, having taken the role in 2014.
Speaking to SENs Bob and Andy on Friday, Pendlebury said he wants to play a role in supporting a new captain before he heads into retirement.
