HEALTH-CORONAVIRUS/PHILIPPINES-CASES (URGENT):Philippines reports 2,396 new coronavirus infections, 17 more deaths

MANILA, Nov 1 (Reuters) – The Philippines on Sunday confirmed 2,396 new coronavirus infections and 17 more deaths.
In a bulletin, the health ministry said the Southeast Asian country’s total confirmed cases had climbed to 383,113, while its death toll had risen to 7,238, the region’s second highest after Indonesia.
An additional 17,727 patients had recovered, bringing the country’s total recoveries to 348,760, it said.
