Millions of Australians could receive their Pfizer shots in GPs and pharmacies after a “game-changing” decision by Therapeutic Goods Administration.
Dr Price said she believed older people and others more vulnerable to the virus should still be prioritised, although she hoped the rollout would move more quickly in light of Melbournes outbreak.
We do not want to be turning away people who want to receive their vaccination. Not during community transmission: thats crazy, Dr Price said.
Dr Price encouraged people aged over 50 to continue coming forward to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine.
