“Andi Mack” actress Peyton Elizabeth Lee will star in the lead role in the upcoming “Doogie Howser, M.D.” remake for Disney+.
Titled “Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.” and set in modern Hawaii, the ten-episode series follows a mixed-race sixteen-year-old girl named Lahela ‘Doogie’ Kamealoha who is juggling a budding medical career and life as a teenager.
Her family includes a spit-fire Irish mother who is also her supervisor at the hospital, and her ‘Local Boy’ father struggling to accept that his daughter…
