Peter Dutton says dance at Navy event that sparked viral video ‘not going to happen again’

Defence Minister Peter Dutton says he has made it “very clear” to the Navy that a dance performance at a recent ship commissioning will never happen again.

The performance on Saturday at the formal launching of the Navy’s newest $2 billion ship HMAS Supply was widely criticised as inappropriate.

The decision last weekend to invite a local group of scantily clad dancers to perform a routine that included twerking caused annoyance inside federal government ranks.
