Perth Zoo’s Sumatran tiger Jaya dies of cancer, seven years after tumour removed
Perth Zoo’s last remaining tiger, a rare Sumatran tiger called Jaya, has died after a seven-year battle with cancer.
Jaya had been given just nine months to live after being diagnosed with an ectopic thyroid carcinoma in 2018 and having a tumour removed.
