Taking a car for a service is hardly seen as one of lifes most enjoyable tasks.
But for one man who visited a Perth dealership this week, it led to an experience of a lifetime.
The man had taken his Ford Focus into Maddingtons Range Ford only to be given the ultimate loan car a Ford Mustang, worth up to $75,000.
The incredible trade emerged on Reddit this week when the mans child posted a picture of their dad proudly posing with a canary yellow supercar.

Shout out to Range Ford for making my dads day, loaning him a Mustang when he serviced his Focus, they wrote.
The person wrote how the man used his day at the wheel wisely, taking it for a spin through the Perth Hills and to the Canning Dam, near Araluen.
Envious Redditors couldnt believe the mans luck, pointing out it was the ultimate sales tactic.
They know what they’re doing. He right in their demographic for new Mustang buyers, wrote one.

Classic sales tactic by the dealership, wrote another.
Whereas another internet user wondered if the trade was possible the other way round.
Plot twist: it was someone elses Mustang that was in for a service, joked the Redditor.
But one was just interested in whether the driver managed to cane it during his brief stint with the muscle car. He didnt.
Mum got impressively motion sickness from it however, the poster confirmed.
A Range Ford spokesman confirmed the exchange was legitimate and said customers occasionally found themselves at the wheel of a luxury sports car after arriving for a service.
Were happy to accommodate clients when we can and give people an enjoyable experience. For this man, it was his birthday, he said.
But, the hottest wheels arent offered to everyone.
We service 35 cars a day and we dont have 35 Mustangs so we cant do it for everyone, he told PerthNow.
