Perth College principal Helen Aguiar to contact police over alleged Instagram impersonator

A Perth private girls’ school principal says she has contacted police after a student at her school received a concerning Instagram message from an account allegedly impersonating her.

Perth College Principal Helen Aguiar said a student received a message from an Instagram account that looked very similar to her own while on school holidays. 

A screenshot of the conversation between the alleged impersonator and the student did not raise an alarm to begin with, Ms Aguiar said, but the concern escalated when the student was asked:
