Perth and Peel coronavirus restrictions eased as Premier details step forward after lockdown
West Australian Premier Mark McGowan has announced further eased coronavirus restrictions will apply from Saturday, May 1, after Perth and the Peel region were plunged into a snap three-day lockdown last weekend.
A new set of interim restrictions will come into effect until 12:01am on Saturday, May 8.
Masks will continue to be mandatory for indoor workplaces and public transport, indoor private gatherings will be capped at 30 people, and spectators will be permitted at outdoor sport.
The AFL western derby at Perth Stadium on Sunday will also go ahead, albeit with the crowd capped at 75 per cent of the venue’s capacity.
