Penrith Panthers centre Paul Momirovski faces two-week suspension for high tackle – Wide World of Sports
‘That looked nasty didn’t it’
Penrith centre Paul Momirovski is facing a fortnight on the sidelines after a high shot on Brisbane halfback Tom Dearden.
The incident took place in the 16th minute in last night’s game, when Dearden put up an attacking kick inside Penrith’s half, only to be collared by Momirovski as the ball left his boot.
The play drew indignation from both the crowd and commentators, but no penalty was given at the time.
It didn’t hurt the Broncos too badly, who scored their opening try just three minutes later…
