PCYC Logan bike maintenance program changing lives and attitudes of youth offenders

Queensland police officers running PCYC Logan, south of Brisbane, have started classes in rebuilding old bicycles bound for the dump as a way to help get some of the state’s youngest offenders back on the straight and narrow.

The PedalsUp program is the brainchild of Sergeant Mick Newell, an avid cyclist who also runs the Logan Police-Citizens Youth Club.
