The world’s sixth largest PC maker, Acer, appears to have been hit by the Windows REvil ransomware aka Sodinokibi and the Taiwan-based company says it has reported “recent abnormal situations observed” to law enforcement.The French news site LeMagITsays the criminals behind the attack are demanding a ransom of US$50 million, the highest demanded to date in any attack.
