Patients moved after ‘building fault’ in brand new hospital

Health Minister Yvette D’Ath has claimed a “building fault” could be to blame after water entered the $92.5 million Kingaroy Hospital redevelopment earlier this month amid heavy rainfall.Some patients were briefly moved during the wet weather to other parts of the hospital, while the CT scanner was taken offline as a precaution as the room and surrounding areas were dried out.Health officials are now cleaning up and fixing any damage to the building, with immediate works underway on the…
