Passenger in allegedly stolen car charged after fatal north Qld crash

She has been denied bail and was expected to appear in the Townsville Children’s Court on Monday. Police are still working to identify the other occupants of the Hyundai and are appealing for anyone with any information about the crash to come forward.

The 25-year-old Bushland Beach man behind the wheel of the Holden and two passengers – a 41-year-old Kirwan man and 22-year-old Aitkenvale woman – were taken to hospital with minor injuries after the crash.
Ms Board was unable to be revived at the scene. Hundreds of people gathered at a vigil in Townsville on Saturday afternoon, with flowers laid at the crash site and orange hearts flooding Ms Board’s social media accounts.
