Punishment handed down after ‘illegal’ footage
The NRL has fined a Parramatta Eels player $5000 for appearing in a sex tape that was circulated on social media.
The player was seen engaging in sex with a woman in a public toilet cubicle. Footage of the incident was recorded and distributed without the couple’s consent.
The NRL issued the player with a breach notice declaring that “he brought the game into disrepute” by engaging in sex in a public place, despite being “the alleged victim of an illegally filmed video”.
