Parents warned about button batteries after death of Gold Coast toddler

The death of a three-year-old Queensland girl who swallowed a button battery has sparked an urgent warning for parents.
Brittney Conway, from the Gold Coast, died three weeks after swallowing a button battery in July, the ABC reports.
Her parents said Brittney first complained of a sore throat, before she vomited, bled from the nose and experienced chest pain.
“She put her hands straight on her chest and she bent over,” her mother Lorraine Conway told the ABC.
