Papalii sent off, Wighton binned for ‘ugly’ hits as Raiders snatch epic
Canberra prop Josh Papalii was sent off while five-eighth Jack Wighton was sent to the sin bin in their sides clash with the Bulldogs at Magic Round.
Wighton and Papalii became the ninth and tenth players to be sent from the field after the NRLs crackdown on foul play was launched on the eve of the Suncorp festival of footy.
Papalii was given his marching orders after whacking Bulldogs winger Tui Katoa with a high shot while Wighton was in the bin with 19 minutes left on the clock.
