Palindrome date, Valentine’s Day see lovebirds flock to the ‘altar’

Brisbane couples have booked out the city’s marriage registry for three days straight, starting on Friday’s palindrome day, 12/02/2021 – which reads the same way forwards and backwards – and going through to Valentine’s Day on Sunday.
One of the couples to tie the knot at the city’s registry on Friday was Janine Kavana and John Lemana, but they won’t be alone this weekend, with the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages in Brisbane booked at capacity.
