Palace shares rare photos from Prince Philip’s historic expedition to Antarctica – 9Honey
Rare photos from the private collection belonging to the Duke of Edinburgh have been shared by Buckingham Palace.
The images date from Prince Philip’s time in Antarctica, when he travelled across the Southern Pacific Ocean in 1956.
That journey sparked the Duke’s interest in ornithology the study of birds a passion he’s had for more than six decades.
