Pair found injured outside house fire after police call over disturbance

Queensland police have declared a crime scene at a Toowoomba home after a man and woman were found with injuries outside a burning home.
Officers were called to a “loud disturbance” at the property on Quinlan Court, Darling Heights, just after midnight on Saturday morning, police said in a statement.
An injured woman and man, who police believe are known to each other, were found outside — the man a short distance away with “serious” injuries after earlier fears he was still inside.
Both were treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital. Investigations into the cause of the blaze are ongoing.
