???? Our fish of the week is a barred javelin, but you might know it as spotted grunter, javelin fish or grunter bream. ????
Often confused for silver javelin or blotched javelin, look out for spots arranged in vertical bands along the flanks to spot a barred javelin.
These guys have a minimum size limit of 40 cm (40 cm min whole or with head or tail removed, or 26 cm min fillet length in the Gulf of Carpentaria) and a possession limit of 10 per person (10 whole fish or 20 fillets in the Gulf of Carpentaria) https://bit.ly/2BLOwNb
