Federal court judge found $2m penalty sought by ACCC too high but also rejected $150,000 fine suggested by Kogan
A tax time promotion by retail giant Kogan that promised 10% discounts but saw some customers end up paying more for their products has now cost the company $350,000.
The retailer was found to have deceived and misled customers in mid-2018 with an end of financial year promotion offering a 10% discount on some products between 27 and 30 June with the code taxtime at checkout.
