Few gave India a chance after their loss in the first Test but confidence is now high in the visitors’ camp they can win back-to-back series in Australia.
It is now the Australians scratching their heads leading into a third Test they cannot lose if they are to keep alive their hopes of regaining the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
“I think this will go down in the annals of Indian cricket, world cricket, as one of the great comebacks in the history of the game,” Shastri said.
