One of QLD’s quirkiest prize homes has hit the market
345 Marshall Road, Tarragindi, was Mater Prize Home No. 22 in 1964.
The year was 1964 and four days before Christmas this “prize home of tomorrow” was due to make some lucky 2 shilling ticket buyer a very happy homeowner indeed.
It was marketed as being the prize home of tomorrow “delightfully different … the latest ultra-modern Mater prize home”. And it came with a ticket seller’s prize of a Ford Flacon Futura Hardtop valued at 7540 pounds.
