One hurt as unit fire sparks evacuation

The incident happened in Ramsgate St on QUT’s Kelvin Grove campus just after 6am.The fire broke out in a unit at the back of a complex, and was reportedly put out just before 8am. Police and fire investigators remained at the scene, with the entire building taped off. One person, believed to be the occupant of the unit, was transported in a stable condition to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
