On Australia Day 12 Gold Coast surf lifesavers successfully saved the lives of seven swimmers who got into difficulty while swimming outside the flags at Tallebudgera Beach. Today, they were recognised by Mayor Tom Tate and the Gold Coast City Council for their tremendous efforts, each being presented with a Mayoral Award in recognition of outstanding service.
