‘Old school’: Wallabies NRL recruit compares Thorn to Storm super coach – Fox Sports
Reds recruit Suliasi Vunivalu has paid Brad Thorn the ultimate compliment, comparing his new coach to his former mentor Craig Bellamy.
While Vunivalus development on the field has been left to attack coach Jim McKay, who helped inspire the Reds to their maiden title under Ewen McKenzie in 2011, the winger said Thorns old school manner was similar to the highly successful Storm coach.
Thorny is pretty much like Craig, pretty old school, winning culture and stuff like that, said Vunivalu, with the Reds coach known to get in the gym and pack down in scrums with his men.
