Oils ain’t oils!
Our officers in Melbourne targeted two shipping containers of over 9,000 bottles of canola oil sent from Mexico which arrived in Victoria on 31 March 2021. Forensic testing later confirmed 269 of the bottles contained an estimated 538 kilograms of liquid methamphetamine rather than canola oil, worth around $80 million.
