In this single-center prospective study, researchers investigated obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) prevalence among obese pregnant women and evaluated its obstetric consequences and explored its risk factors in this population. Participants were pregnant women with a body mass index > 35 kg/m2. A diagnosis of OSA was made by performing polysomnography (type 1 sleep testing) between 24 and 32 weeks of gestation.
