NT Water Police feared for people’s lives during ‘mass evacuation’ of sandbar party near Darwin’s Cullen Bay

Lives could have been lost at a sandbar party attended by hundreds of people near Darwin over the weekend if not for a “mass evacuation” by police, according to a senior sergeant with the NT Water Police.
