NT airline worker fined for breaching COVID-19 rules after Dili flight
NT Police say they have issued an infringement notice to an airline worker for breaching COVID-19 directions.
The 33-year-old man arrived in Darwin on a flight from Dili last month and was directed by NT authorities to take a COVID-19 test and self-isolate until receiving the results as required.
As part of existing COVID-19 rules, the man was allowed to go to work when rostered but was otherwise required to remain in self-isolation.
NT Police said they later received information that the man had been leaving his accommodation.
An investigation into his whereabouts confirmed the 33-year-old was not rostered to work, and he was issued an infringement notice yesterday.
