NT adds Byron Shire in northern NSW to its list of coronavirus hotspots

The Northern Territory government has expanded its list of coronavirus hotspots to include the Byron Shire in northern New South Wales as a result of the escalating COVID outbreak that forced Greater Brisbane into a three-day lockdown.

Effective immediately, people arriving in the NT from the Byron region will now be required to enter mandatory, supervised quarantine at a cost of $2,500.
