NSW records nine coronavirus cases, smashes daily testing record ahead of Christmas

The NSW Premier has raised concerns about increased coronavirus transmission risks during Christmas as the state recorded another nine positive cases.
The Avalon cluster, which sparked a region-wide lockdown over the weekend, has grown by seven and now sits at 104.
Of the nine cases today, two remain under investigation, including one person who lives in the northern beaches area.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian, who announced “modest tweaks” to restrictions yesterday, said she did not “want people moving around, unless you absolutely have to”.
“Every health expert will tell you the greatest way the disease spreads is by people moving around too much,” she said.
“It is really important to reduce your mobility.”
