NSW records new COVID-19 case in Byron Bay

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has revealed one COVID-19 case has been found in Byron Bay, and says social-distancing restrictions will be tightened in four local government areas in the state’s north.
The case, which was found overnight, will be reported in tomorrow’s numbers official coronavirus numbers.
The new infection attended a hen’s party that a confirmed COVID-19 case from Brisbane was at.
Until the end of Easter, restrictions for the the Byron Bay, Ballina, Tweed and Lismore regions will include:
- Wearing masks while shopping or catching public transport
- Masks will be mandatory for hospitality workers
- The four square metre will apply in hospitality venues
- Patrons must be seated, not standing
