Pat Webster, famous for his association with the outstanding Happy Clapper, is retiring from training.

Pat Webster, famous for his association with the outstanding Happy Clapper, is retiring from training.
Webster made the surprise announcement on Monday, confirming he will saddle his final starter when Kosciuszko races at Newcastle on Saturday.
This brings the curtain down on his extraordinary 55-year career in racing based entirely at Royal Randwick.
But Webster, 69, said he will continue his involvement as Racing NSW Drugs and Alcohol Mentor and as a Racing Mates Ambassador.
