NSW Police to seek ‘legal advice’ on historical rape allegation, AFP Commissioner says

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) Commissioner says his counterpart in New South Wales is seeking legal advice about a historical rape allegation against a federal Cabinet Minister.

An anonymous letter, sent to several members of Parliament, alleged the woman was raped when she was a teenager in 1988 by a man who is now a Minister in the federal government.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison says the Minister “absolutely rejects” the allegation.
