NSW Mid North Coast retired teacher spreading love with handcrafted tea-cosies

Surrounded by bushland and birdsong, 70-year-old Robyn Lauder relaxes on her back deck, knitting needles in hand.

She’s creating a bright, old-fashioned tea-cosy and says it’s a calming process.

“I always have the things handy and I just really enjoy making my little flowers and tea-cosies,” she said.

Ms Lauder has lost count of how many tea-cosies she’s made over the years but said it would be in thousands.

“I don’t add them up, but it’s always more than I ever thought I would make,” she said.
