Statistics released on Friday showed that from more than 18,000 tests in the 24 hours to 8pm on Thursday, just three new cases were diagnosed in returned travellers in hotel quarantine.
Health authorities are concerned however, after fragments of the virus were detected in sewerage samples taken from Batemans Bay on the state’s south coast on Tuesday.
