NSW floods leave small town north of Port Macquarie still isolated with no power, more than a week on

Residents in a small community north of Port Macquarie say their town looks like a “war zone” in the wake of the worst flooding of their lifetimes.
The North Shore community, on the northern side of the Hastings River on the Mid-North Coast, has been isolated, and some residents are still without power, since floods ripped through homes over a week ago.

)An earlier flood evacuation order for the area has been lifted, but the main car ferry accessing the area from Port Macquarie is still not operational.
The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) has started running a water taxi service, allowing people to access their homes.
